Appeal for Flood Victims in Nepal

Nepal Disaster Victims Aid Committee (NDVAD) has been set up to help flood victims in Sunsari and several other villages affected in Nepal. Thousands of people fled their homes on the 18th of August 2008 following the collapse of a dam on the Koshi River in Eastern Nepal that led to flooding in the area. Most People residing in these villages have already lost their property and family members. An estimated 30,000 people are either living on road sides or in temporary shelters. Worst of all, many are still struggling to survive due to inadequate food and shelter.
The total amount collected by NDVAD will be handed over to the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund (PMNDRF) with the full list of names of the donors.
